Prayer of Confession: We confess, Lord God, that we are tempted to form the faith around our passions. Instead of You alone, we place some object or action alongside of You, to make our worship more exciting or more believable. It may be our tradition or our values or our abilities, but whatever it is, it vies for our devotion to You. Forgive us, Lord, and help us to worship You and hear your voice alone. To God be the glory. Amen.
